That strong growth came with slightly more than a month of revenue from Cataupult Systems, which it acquired on November 22. Catapult had revenue of $52.2 million for the 12 months ended September 30. Quisitive lost $16.8 million last year, 70.6 percent higher than the slightly less than $10 million in red ink for 2021. Total revenue for 2021 was $96.7 million, up 94.3 percent from $49.8 million the prior year. Quisitive remains interested in growing its Dynamics business by acquisition. But activity there will be a lower priority for the next few months as the company continues to gear up the company’s LedgerPay payment business and integrating Catapult, CEO Mike Reinhart said during this week's earnings webcast. The M&A activity of the last two years had a bottom-line impact. Acquisition expenses were $6.2 million for the most recently ended year, 365.2 percent higher than the $13.3 million in that category the prior year. Amortization was $10.9 million, more than double the $4.1 million for the 2020. In addition, there was a $7.3 million earn out settlement loss, up sharply from $1.2 million the prior year. Quisitive expects the cloud ERP business will generate organic growth of 15 percent to 20 percent over the next three to five years.
