Shortage of consultants is the No. 1 issue for dealers and it has also soured some relationships in the channel, according to Nancy Teixeira, who leads the North American channel program for Sage. The company has soft launched a consulting pipeline program, employing two outside vendors Teixeira declined to name at this time. With the four-week program, “You won’t have a senior consultant but you will have somebody who is billable,,” says Texieira. One vendor is training candidates in an acceleration of Sage’s training program while the other is helping teach soft skills. The search for talent also has firms seeking to fill their needs by acquiring other resellers
