SAGE REVS RISE 5 PERCENT Featured

 Sage has reported that revenue for the first quarter ended December 31 rose by 5 percent year-over year. Revenue for the most recently ended period was approximately $622.3 million, according to a recent trading update.

The company said North American recurring revenue rose by 11 percent to approximately $236.4 million. In trading updates, companies do not provide detail financials or usually not earnings, although some times percentage changes in EBITDA. Sage pointed to the growth in cloud-native applications overall, which include Intacct and Sage Accounting and Sage People, which Sage considers to be its core products. Howell said revenue for cloud-native product increased by 44 percent for the quarter to roughly $121.9 million. The company cited strength in Intacct sales. Sage noted its January 17 acquisition of retail software specialist Brightpearl, but provided no additional guidance for the impact of the acquired company on results for the year ended September 30. The company repeated Brightpearl's offerings will be used for “scaling Sage Intacct”.
