Himanshu Palsule has become CEO of Cornerstone OnDemand, a more than $750-million company, which makes HR software. Palsule announced the move this week in a LinkedIn post.

It’s the first job outside of the ERP space since 1989 for the executive, which includes tenures at Man-Trak the former Open Systems, Sage and Epicor. He spent 11 years seven months at Sage, where he ended his employment as chief technology officer. He joined Epicor as chief technology officer in 2015 and added the title of president in September 2019. He announced his plans for a new job an announcement late last month. Cornerstone claims more than 6,000 customers and 75 million users and is available in 180 countries in 50 languages. Cornerstone was acquired in October by Clearlake Capital Group for $5.2 billion. In its last reported year, Cornerstone reported a loss of slightly less than $40 million on revenue of $740.9 million for the year ended December 31. In the last quarterly report, it had a loss of $12.8 million for the six months ended June 30, compared to a loss of $25.8 million a year earlier. Revenue for the most recently reported period $423.6 million, an increase of 21 percent from the prior year’s $334.5 million.
