Exact, based in Delft, the Netherlands, has acquired go2UBL, which provides software that converts scanned documents into the Universal Business Language. Terms were not disclosed.

Exact is embedding go2UBL software to help customers process scanned documents in Exact Online and throughout the rest of the publisher’s product line. Exact said an important part of its strategy is to automate repetitive and manual accounting tasks under a “No Hands Accounting” approach. “With the expertise of go2UBL we can further improve the quality of the Scan & Recognize functionality” Exact’s chief product officer Joep Hoeks said in a prepared statement. Utilizing go2BL technology, invoices are scanned, recognized and automatically assigned by the robot, called Scan & Recognize, enabling customers to deliver paperwork digitally so that it can be processed automatically.
