The company says SDMO embeds industry best practices, advanced multi-site inventory management, and reporting with industry-specific KPIs and dashboards. Sage’s press release announcing the product is long on PR buzz and short on specific descriptions, for example not discussing where its manufacturing capabilities stand in terms of the many kinds of manufacturing operations and their differing needs. It description of key capabilities has little detail. These were Automating Core Financial Tasks, Simplifying Complex Product Designs, Enhancing Distribution and Supply Chain Operations and Optimizing Inventory and Warehouse Management. But there was no description of what improvements and technologies actually does to achieve these goals.
