Ellison that many companies already use two for the four major clouds—Oracle, Azure, AWS and Google. “We think it’s going to be more than three going forward.” The view was expounded in greater detail by Clay Magouryk, EVP of Oracle cloud infrastructure. Magouryk says there will be more cloud providers “who can provide localized controls”, not just global providers. While cloud providers need economies of scale, they cannot handle all needs, in particular requirements by individual governments. Magouryk said as a global provider, “I am not going to be able to meet all the regulations.” The first NetSuite Conference—years before its purchase by Oracle—was held at Oracle building and the public terminals in the hall had all then-available browsers—except the current one from Microsoft.
