Fishbowl Workforce has been released as an app on the iOS Apple Store. Available for several months as an online product, Workforce is a Web-based time clock and workforce management system that allows businesses to track their labor hours and costs. The company describes the app as suitable for employees who are not computer savvy. It monitors employees' time, job progress, shift notes, geo-locations, overtime and payroll expenses.

Unit4 has signed ERP Connex to resell its Unit4 Business World Enterprise Resource Planning line (formerly called Agresso). A Gold Oracle partner, ERP Connex, based in Montreal, Quebec, will also provide consulting services in Eastern Canada. The channel program is a new one for the Netherlands based software company, which said in a prepared statement the deal "is the result of Unit4's efforts to build a strong partner ecosystem across North America and expand its professional services capacity globally."

Avalara has introduced two applications that are designed to enable retailers and ecommerce companies to automatically collect sales tax exemption certificates at point of sale kiosks and online shopping carts. The new products are Avalara CertCapture for Retail and CertCapture for ecommerce. The products are designed to work with a variety of mobile devices for in-store and online customers.
