Macola will expand its international channel now that the company in the United States is managing those operations. The plan was outlined by Alison Forsythe, Macola's managing director this week. Her comments follow the announcement that Exact is spinning out Macola.

Sage Intacct has named 14 organizations to its Presidents' Club for 2017. Those selected include firms reselling its software and those providing outsourced accounting services via the Intacct Accountants Program. The software company said it added 37 VARs and 50 new members of the accountants program during the last year.

Nonprofit software vendor Blackbaud turned in a good performance for the second quarter ended June 30. The Charleston, S.C.-based company said net income rose to $11.2 million in the most recently ended period, an increase of 23.2 percent over $9.1 million a year earlier.
