Tax software vendor Sovos says it will acquire Istanbul, Turkey-based Foriba, and Hiawatha, Iowa-based Eagle Technology Management. Terms were not disclosed and the expected close of the two deals was not specified.

SWK Technologies has been selected as  VAR Partner of the Year by AvidXchange. It is the third straight year the East Hanover, N.J.-based reseller has received the award. SWK this year also was named Acumatica’s Partner of the Year, the first time it took home that honor. SWK is the exclusive Sage 100 integration provider for AvidXchange users. AvidXchange provides software for AP and payments automation.

Salesforce has made its Lightning Web Components open source. LWC is the company’s JavaScript framework utilized by developers to build apps on the Lightning Platform. Salesforce will showcase LWC this week at TrailheaDX, its fourth annual developer conference.
