Oracle has introduced explainable machine learning, among several new features in the Oracle Analytics Cloud. Users can now access simple explanations of factors that influenced a model to predict a certain outcome and they can adjust factors to fine-tune results.

Sovos, which makes indirect tax software, has acquired Chile-based Acepta. Acepta markets e-invoicing, e-receipts, e-documents and digital certificate products in Chile, Peru and Colombia.

 Vena has raised about $244 million ($300 million Canadian) in Series C funding. The Toronto, Ont-based company said it will use the proceeds to accelerate growth.
