Epicor Software has released version 8.7.9 of Eclipse, its wholesale distribution package. The software features Progress Billing to enable billing independent of shipping material. Epicor says the method is suited to electrical and plumbing distributors and can also be used for billing based on project stages or to manage an installment payment plans. Among the features are Advanced Demand Forecasting, which utilizes the exponential smoothing, Holt and Holt-Winters models to accommodate planning based on trend behavior and seasonality.
