He was in various roles with Verizon (originally MCI Communications) for 23 years through 2006. Given Sage's alliance with the cloud-based CRM vendor, having someone familiar with the Salesforce method of business makes a lot of sense. At that company, Crump led the global enterprise business, reporting to CEO and founder Marc Benioff. Sage has significantly shifted executive roles under Kelley. Where once there was a CEO of Sage North America, there is now Marc Scheipe as president. Sage also named Vicki Bradin to the company's executive committee as general counsel, replacing Michael Robinson who is retiring on September 30. That same day, Brendan Flattery, president of Europe, will leave the company. With Sage since 2003, Flattery assumed his current duties in February 2015. Prior to that, he was CEO of Sage's United Kingdom and Ireland operations. I assume those moves similar reflect Sage's turn away from having CEOs running its operation units. The creation of Crump's jump is part of Sage's work to structure the company as a global operation, instead of as one that operates country by country.
