Haugen said in a prepared statement that while at Bain he had supported Unit4 management through several M&A transactions. The previous EVP in that spot was Stephen Sieber, hired in April 2014 after Unit4 created four new VP positions following its privatization by new owner, Advent International. Sieber became EVP and global sales officer in June 2015. Unit4 has two product lines: Unit4 Financials, formerly known as Coda, and Unit4 Business World, formerly Agresso.

Unit4 has named Christophe Haugen as EVP Strategy and Operations. The Utrecht, Netherlands-based financial software company says Haugen is "responsible for driving strategy, corporate development and continuous business improvement across the global business." He was with Bain & Company from September 2007 until taking the job with Unit4. Since July 2012, he was a senior principal in Bain's European Private Equity and technology practices.
