For the recently ended nine months, revenue was $20.3 million, compared to $19.3 million a year earlier. An 11-percent rise on operating expenses cut into operating earnings. MicroEdge earned $ 3.9 million for the year ended Dec. 31, 2013, a rebound from a loss of just over $1 million for fiscal 2012. Fiscal 2013 revenue was $26.3 million, a rise of 10.3 percent from $23.8 percent the prior year. MicroEdge was a portfolio company of Vista Equity Partners and Bregal Sagemount and was purchased from Advent Software in 2009. Its product lines include donor and grant management software.

MicroEdge, purchased by Blackbaud in October, had a 3-percent increase in net income on a 4.9-percent rise in revenue for the nine months ended September 30. The MicroEdge numbers were disclosed by the nonprofit software vendor in a recent filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission. For the nine months, MicroEdge, based in New York City, had net income of $2.3 million, down from $2.4 million in last year's corresponding period.
