Marketing automation is going to become a major area of investment for Microsoft Dynamics CRM, according to the company’s latest statement of direction. That statement describes a “focus on driving a new category of integrated marketing solutions.”
These include new applications for brand, marketing resource, digital asset and multi-channel campaign management; campaign performance analysis and customer loyalty. Posted on the Microsoft website, the statement also describes general plans for sales force automation and customer service development. SFA initiatives include next-generation sales applications and services for prospecting; team collaboration; quote, order and price management, planning and management; and revenue performance management.
