The deal grew out of the two-year-old Net@Work Partner Alliance Program via which resellers are able to affiliate with Net@Work to test whether a VAR wants to carry the relationship to an outright sale. Net@Work was No. 11 on Bob Scott's Insights Top 100 VARs for 2015 with $38.5 million revenue and was the highest ranking reseller marketing Sage accounting software packages. It had been a while since Net@Work made acquisitions—in fact, slightly more than a year ago when it purchased Virginia-based Software Solutions.
