During the same period, Robert Price was selected as CFO, replacing Brian Davis, who left the company. More recently, technical director Nick McGrane was named managing director at K3 Syspro. He took over that spot from Cathie Hall, who became chief business officer with the parent K3 Business Technology Group. All of this change follows a good year for the period ended June 30 as the company, like many other large VARs, emphasized marketing its own software. For fiscal 2016, before-tax profit of roughly $5.6 million represent an increase of 17 percent from fiscal 2015 while revenue of about $110 million was 7-percent higher than in the prior year. Valdimarsson, a native of Iceland, has been chairman of software company Rue de Net since February 2004.
K3 EXEC REVAMP CONTINUES Featured
British reseller K3 is continuing on its significant restocking of executive ranks. In the last two months, the VAR, which carries Dynamics, Sage and Syspro software, has named a new CEO, CFO and managing director for K3 Syspro. In October, Adalsteinn Valdimarsson was hired as CEO while his predecessor, David Bolton, became executive chairman.
