RANDOM THOUGHTS: THE GREEN SPOTS

The green spots on a recently purchased package of bacon sent me to the Internet to read about the advisability of eating moldy bacon.

 

Despite many assurances that grandpa and grandma ate the stuff and didn't fall down writhing, the ultimate word came from the United States Department of Agriculture. "Do not eat eggs and green bacon. Do not eat them or you will be achin.' You can eat eggs and green ham You can eat eggs and green cheese. You can eat them if you please. But eating green bacon produces great quease." ... Sage's big night on the town for the Summit user conference was a visit to the Atlanta Aquarium, whose prime features include four specimens of whale shark. The whale shark is an extremely large fish that spends its life with its mouth open in order to feed. That is probably the origin of its popular name, the "Rush Limbaugh" fish. ... I was disappointed that we missed a trip to the Michael Vick Memorial Dog Fighting Arena. But someone let the dogs out. ... A woman at a local Chinese restaurant was upset because she thought I stared at her too long. I assured her it was because she reminded me of my college roommate. "Your college roommate was a woman?" she queried. "No. His name was Larry." ... My performance of an Aaron Copland song on Sunday brought one of those comments from a friend that we all treasure. "Your voice has held up well over the years." ... My computer system is offering fog computing, not cloud computing. Instead of information being in the cloud, it's in a fog.
