In a response to my email on the change, Ades wrote that there had been, "no change. We are still part of InterDyn and AKA Enterprise Solutions has always been our official name. But for marketing purposes we are branding as AKA Enterprise Solutions going forward." That still seems like a big change after having identified publicly as an Interdyn company for so long. However, it must be said that increasingly the members aren't plopping the name InterDyn in front of the company name. Artis, Lanac Technology and BMI still routinely use the InterDyn ID in their name. However, Cargas never has and newer members, L. Kianoff & Associates and LBMC Technologies never adopted the practice. Nor did Socius, and that turns out to be a non-issue as the Dublin, Ohio-based company withdrew from InterDyn in December. Apparently, Socius felt there were conflicts as a Master VAR for Microsoft although other InterDyn members were not so concerned.
AKA REBRANDS MINUS ONE WORD Featured
For many years, the reseller headed quite successfully by Jack Ades and Alan Kahn has identified itself as InterDyn AKA. That name reflects the Interdyn consortium, which originally was a group of strong Great Plains resellers but has branched out in the last few years. When this year's Top 100 form came back from the Manhattan, N.Y.-based company, it had the name "AKA Enterprise Solutions".
