DYNAMICS GROWTH SLOWS FURTHER Featured

Dynamics revenue grew by 15 percent for the first quarter ended September 31, the second straight quarter the growth rate has slowed. Microsoft reported this week that Dynamics 365 grew by 24 percent year-over-year.

The products were up 24 percent and 33 percent respectively in constant currency. The trend is interesting since rival Oracle NetSuite has reported three straight quarters of 25-percent growth. The latest results for Microsoft follows 19-percent growth for Dynamics in the fourth quarter of fiscal 2022; 22 percent for the third quarter; 29 percent for the second quarter. Microsoft did not specific factors leading to the decline in the growth rate and as usual Microsoft did not report actual revenue for the product line. Overall results were also softer with net income dropping to $18.56 billion for the most recently ended quarter, down 10 percent from $20.5 billion a year ago. Revenue rose 10.6 percent to $50.12 billion, up from $45.32 billion in last year’s corresponding period.
