Her naming follows the recently announced departure of Cecilia Flombaum as global ecosystem leader for business applications. Steiger’s early career at Microsoft included several years in leadership positions serving Citigroup. She was also chief technology officer for the U.S. commercial industry sector services from July 2016 through May 2018.

Microsoft has named Sarah Steiger as GM of partner solutions for the U.S. national/local services team. Steiger, who joined the software company in 1998, was previously GM of U.S. partner management and sales enablement, among other roles from May 2018 until taking the new position this month.
