Based in Wayne, N.Y., Third Wave was founded in October 1993 by CEO Korey Lind as a Great Plains reseller, but became a Business One VAR and reports it is the longest-standing B1 reseller in North America. Lind will continue to lead the company, which will operate independently under the ownership of the holding company. She has been joined by Byron Thompson, who became Third Wave’s president last month. The company had been in Bob Scott’s Top 100 but did not return a submission in recent years. In 2016, it was No. 70 on the list with the listed with 37 employees and $6.6 million in revenue. Evergreen, backed by private equity firm, Alpine Investors, and has previously concentrated on acquiring managed IT firms.
