My sagacious decision to enter the accounting publication market came when some time in that July 30 years ago, the Rick Telberg, the editor of Accounting Today, called me to say, “Can you come in? We sent our technology editor to a conference and she didn’t come back.” And so, I made my decision the same way I have made most job decisions—I needed a job and somebody offered one. The titles have changed and so have employers. Paper has given way to completely electronic publishing and a lot of vendors have come and gone in that time. It’s been fun and I’m not going anywhere for a while.
