VENA CTO/CO-FOUNDER TO STEP DOWN Featured

George Papayiannis, one of three co-founders of Vena Solutions, will leave the job of chief technology officer he has held since April 2011.  Papayiannis will continue in the position until a successor is found.

A post on the company’s websites says the CTO believes that after supporting the teams “growth will be better served with him supporting rather than leading.” Growth will be supported by the $300 million in funding the company raised in April. The company statement also provided a general outline of product direction. “We will be launching revolutionary enhancements to Vena’s core offering, including building on-top of Microsoft’s Office365 platform and launching embedded data visualization leveraging PowerBI,” it reads. Vena's forecasting, planning and analytical software is built on Excel.
