Once owned by Exact, Toronto, Ont.-based Longview was sold to Marlin Equity Partners in 2014. Longview markets software for corporate planning, tax reporting, consolidation and analytic software. It was reported Longview has 700 enterprise customers. The deal was pictured as Insightsoftware’s entrance into the corporate tax market. Its acquisitions include Excel4apps in October 2018; CXO Software in November 2018, BizNet Software in March, Jet Global Data Technologies in May, Scandinavia’s Bizview in September, along with the January purchase of three Jet Solutions distributors in Singapore, New Zealand, and Benelux There have also been partnerships struck with Aptean and MRI Software in the last two years.
