Terms were not disclosed for the deal, which is expected to close during the current quarter. It’s an interesting twist of events as ECI markets the JobBoss, Macola and Max manufacturing packages which it acquired when they were spun off from Netherlands-based Exact. Trivest markets products in the following areas: ERP,APM (advanced production management system), MES (manufacturing execution system) and CAD/CAM design, along with, business intelligence products and mobile applications. Trivest sells its products in 27 countries and ECI said the deal will significantly expand its presence in the Benelux region and across Europe. ECI CEO Ron Books said Trivest is ECI’s largest acquisition and besides providing the expanded European presence will “allow us to offer a new, robust platform solution to our SMB manufacturers.”
