ORACLE ENHANCES NETSUITE Featured

Oracle this week introduced a series of enhancements to its NetSuite product line. Oracle NetSuite unveiled changes to analytics, supply chain, distribution, project, commercial, nonprofit, HR and financials.

The new features for NetSuite received better play on the Oracle website than on the NetSuite website which emphasis the NetSuite move to the Oracle cloud. They were introduced at SuiteConnect, which was held concurrently with Oracle OpenWorld, but which was truncated to one day. In a pre-show briefing, Paul Farrell, VP of product marketing, noted the company had added new data visualization exploration analytics along with 17 additional pre-built workbooks, which provide pre-built industry and role capabilities to SuiteAnalytics. In terns of supply chain, predictive risk have been added to the Supply Chain Control Tower, which is built on the Intelligent Suite Machine Learning and AI platform, and was described by Farrell as “one of the first intelligence applications to be released.” Also new are warehouse management features such as optimizing product allocation along with the addition of better control over what is released from the warehouse and a new mobile app. Advanced Project Budgets offer a single view into all aspects of project budget ad include the ability to create multiple versions of the budget plan. In Commerce, customers receive insights to merchandise attributes such as color, size and patterns and Personalized Catalog Views while nonprofits gain program outcome features for monitoring the health and measuring outcomes of key programs. SuitePeople users gain features such as an employee timeline to easily view key milestones, an improved payroll experience for administrators and employees, and new HR dashboard capabilities.
